This link is fascinating as the court ruled that the taxation obligations of one spouse could be shifted to the other spouse as part of a family property settlement which could see the ATO miss out entirely as the spouse concerned is bankrupt.

I would think this will have lots of commentary within the family court community as it is both adverse in this specific case but also sets a precedent of debt shifting that might have been thought untouchable before this judgement.
